Current compliance status
Following recent corrective work, the reviewed pages (the homepage, the main corpus search engine, the frequency pages and the article pages) present no evident static-code barriers preventing compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) AA / EN 301 549.
The implementation now includes:
- responsive viewport declarations
- meaningful alternative text
- native form controls with visible labels
- live region announcements for dynamic loading and result states
- programmatic state for toggle buttons
- colour-independent descriptions for chart bars
On this basis, it can reasonably be stated that the pages are accessibility-ready and suitable for achieving WCAG 2.1 AA / EN 301 549 conformance certification.

Preparation of the accessibility statement
The assessment of the website's conformance with the Austrian Web Accessibility Act was carried out through a self-assessment based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, conformance level AA, as well as the EN 301 549 standard.
A new assessment is carried out with each major update to the website.
The aim is for this website to reach conformance level AAA by the end of 2026.
